DOT Physical Exams
In the State of Texas a DOT physical exam is required every 24 months. It is a general health evaluation required in order to operate a commercial vehicle. Referred to as a “medical fitness for duty”examination, our examination ensures that each driver is capable and healthy enough to successfully complete the duties associated with commercial driving.

Who needs a DOT Exam?
Anyone operating a vehicle on an interstate hwy, with a gross weight rating of 10,001 pounds or more, are required to pass a DOT exam.
Your test will consist of :
Vision test for 20/40 Vision as well as the ability to distinguish colors found on traffic signals.
Hearing test
Blood pressure test. (Use of prescription medication to achieve an allowed blood pressure threshold is permitted)
Blood sugar check (may not be higher than 200)
Urine Drug Test. No use of a Schedule 1 drug, amphetamine, narcotic or any habit forming drug is allowed.
